I check out every tip. Turns out, David Christenson... says he'll open a restaurant called Watercress Cellars in that fine historic house at 723 Second St. S.W. The restaurant will open on New Year's Eve, but a fudge and candy shop already opened in the house this week, and his wife, Lisa Loucks Christenson, will also reopen her wildlife art and gift gallery. . . .

Dave Christenson definitely has a “sweet job." He’s been making fudge and chocolates for nearly 30 years...
His fudge was a featured gourmet food for the holidays on QVC. Christenson had his first showing with QVC in December (they sold 7,000 pounds of fudge in seven minutes) and the next day, they asked . . .

Valentine's Day Business

(ABC 6 News) -- Valentine's Day is considered one of the biggest gift-giving holidays of the year.

...But if flowers aren't your thing, there's always chocolate.

"These are long stemmed strawberries. They were picked last night in California and flown in this morning," White Wolf Creek owner David Christenson says.

It's just one of many sweet treats you can find at White Wolf Creek, but their specialty is the annual wild game dinner for two.

"Alligator crepes which has alligator, crab and shrimp in it. Then we'll be doing also a duck crepe this evening. It has a wild rice and duck in a raspberry sauce," Christenson explains.

Other menu items include wild boar and rainbow trout.

It's a unique way to show that special someone just how much you care.

"Last year we had a line out the door," Christenson says.

But White Wolf Creek wasn't the only shop with a line out its door....

Local man + shopping channel deal = 7,000 lbs of fudge

Here's an interesting treat from the crew at the eclectic  and slightly mysterious White Wolf Creek, the cafe/art gallery/fudge shop in the ex-Taco John's on the U.S. 52 North frontage road.

Holiday treats are already adding pounds for David Christenson.

Thankfully, it is the Rochester chocolate artist's workload that is rapidly growing, not his waistline.

To fill an order for an upcoming appearance on the omnipresent QVC shopping channel, he needs to make an avalanche of fudge — a whopping 7,000 pounds' worth — in the next few weeks.
